There in 1982, a group of highly motivated individuals
with vast experience in the marble field, decides to start a marble
related business, so Borinquen Marble Services, Inc. was born.
Further in 1985 they decided to install a little production room of 1,000 m2, located in Santurce. With all the accomplishments attained by the company, it now needed to increase the production capacity. To accomplish this new challenge in 1990 the construction of a new industrial ship in the zone of Puerto Nuevo began, new modern machinery is acquired for the processing of the marble and ever since, the development and growth of Borinquen Marble Services, Inc. has increased day to day. In 1995 Borinquen Marble Services, Inc. acquires the company known as Mamoles Vassa. This acquisition completes the existing operations, adding the ingredient of extraction and production of puertorican marble, this new company was called Atlantic Marble Corporation, located in Ponce and Juana Díaz. During the year 2008 Borinquen Marble Services, Inc. was acquired by Contemporary Stone & marble. Although the name of the company has changed they still withhold the same standards of quality, service and innovation.Today our company has a solid hard working staff, high technology equipment, the best material on the market and a great attitude to serve the most important attribute of our company, you the customer. |
